Only ever ordered takeout. They are consistently fresh, tasty and fast! Every time my family has a craving for dim sum, we always order a big order from here. They have the traditional offerings plus a few a typical HONG KONG restaurant would offer. (Sadly, not many do in NYC) I never had a bad order from them.

We had a big gathering here after a funeral. We appreciated having the private room which was perfect and comfortable for what we needed. Service was efficient, attentive and fast. Our traditional banquet style meal was very well prepared with a good variety of options and the food came out quickly with very generous portions.

Solid dim sum place! My friends and I came as soon as they opened on Memorial Day and there was no wait. We parked on a nearby street pretty easily (yay free holiday parking). The space is massive, nicely decorated--we were sat by a window so it was nicely lit. Food was delicious and tasty! We had a variety of dishes--all were solid. My favorites were the rice roll with crispy shrimp and the sesame rice roll dessert. Both are ones I've never seen before at other dim sum places and they were super unique! I also loved the sweet tofu with a ginger syrup (it was also great the next day as breakfast). The carts don't come around super often but everything was fresh. Would definitely recommend and I agree with others, it's much better than the 3/5 rating.

I have eaten here many times and it by far the most delicious dim sum. I am unclear of the low star rating. The restaurant's dim sum is always on point and meets my expectations. On the weekends, this place is packed and a mad house since it does have a parking lot and by the Asian supermarket. If you wanted to avoid the main st flushing area entirely and have some dim sum - this place is a good spot

Booked a room at the restaurant for dinner for my sons first birthday. I booked my reservation with Sam. He was very responsive and helpful. He was able to send me the menu and make recommendations on what to order. The room was big and spacious. The staff was very attentive and they serve the food for everyone. We ordered 2 set menus. 1 seafood set for 10 people and 1 regular set for 8 people. We had about 16 people and that was way too much food. The food was all presentable but the taste was bland. There were not a lot of flavors. The food just tasted as it was downed in water and oil. The food is not really up to par but this place provide a private room and good service for special occasions.

We came here for dinner and had a great experience. The food was delicious, the portions were huge, and the service was good. Normally we come here for dim sum/lunch and it is usually crazy and hectic, and the service during these busy times is pretty bad. However, tonight the restaurant was not packed and we had a great time. We will definitely come back for dinner on other occasions. My favorite item was the crispy Sea bass, and the Peking pork chop.

As a native Queens lifelong resident I have many times passed New Lake Pavilion during my travels, but this is my first visit with my family for a Saturday March, 2024 brunch. This large Chinese banquet hall restaurant is located at the peripheral south of Flushing upon the Long Island Expressway exit. Ahh, nostalgia of growing up with large Chinese banquet halls in Manhattan for Dim Sum parlors of classic Cantonese cuisine and New Lake Pavilion stand their ground resisting progress and inflation, especially agflation. The decor is beautiful with painting panels on the partition dividers and chandeliers adored the ceiling chandeliers adored the ceiling with mural painting Cherubs. My foodie synopsis: siu1 maai6/2 燒賣 - Pork and mushroom dumpling were well prepared, but the mushroom were too large and overpowered the dumpling. zyu1 coeng4*2/4 fan2 豬腸粉 - Chee Cheong Fun rice noodle roll was very fresh, but the texture was too chewy from the thickness. ngau4 juk6 coeng4*2 牛肉腸 Beef rice noodle roll rice roll, same as the other cheong fun, texture was too chewy from the thickness. haa1 coeng4*2 蝦腸 蝦腸 Shrimp rice noodle roll, the same as the other cheong fun, texture was too chewy from the thickness. haa1 gaau2 蝦 餃 - Shrimp dumplings was blooming with shrimp, less dumpling wrapping. zan1 zyu1 gai1 - Sticky rice lotus wraps were good consistency. mong4 gwo2 bou3 din1 芒果布甸 - Mango pudding was very lumpy like feta cheese and it was not mango juice. This was truly disappointing. It is one of my favorite dim sum desserts. To further my despondent, there were no hang6 jan4 dau6 fu6 杏仁豆腐 almond pudding in the Dim Sum food carts. The ladies pushing the food carts, thankfully, speak Cantonese and rather aggressive to sell the food. Business card and take-out menu are available for grabs. Food in any cultural cuisine is what brings people together as a community united. The Dim Sum is solid and I ate my fill. Yum Cha, please! Our tea were refilled with hot water. Facilities were decent and accessible without any stairs. Customer service is average and somewhat attentive. I finally managed to awake from being wracked with intense grief to get out into the world for food. There is a small parking lot, but it quickly becomes very filled for full occupancy.
